If one thing could be said
about each of the members of the Children's leadership team, it would be
that each of them has a special love and calling into ministry with children.
Not everyone is called to work and minister to children, but we are called
to love, care, and nurture EVERY child. The Children's Leadership team
of lighthouse Fellowship consists of individuals who are committed to work
together for the lives of all children that come into the doors of the
church and to reach out to those who are outside our walls.
Since each member of the leadership
team has a special ministry and relationship with the children, we thought
it was most appropriate to introduce the leadership team by asking the children
and parents their thoughts about each member.
Kathy Martin, Children's Pastor
"I love how Kathy prays to God for us each day." Steffanie age 10
"She takes the time to teach me." Abagail age 9
"She is kind and says kind things." Nathan age 9
"I like how she takes care of the kids." Austin age 12
"She is nice and teaches me in a challenging way." Shaun age 10
"Kathy makes the lessons exciting." Kody age 10
"Kathy is fun to hug." Ana age 2
"Kathy will go out of her way for any child. No need is too small
or too big. Her extra effort and the genuine love and care she has for the kids
is so important in the world we live in today. The time she gives to this ministry
shows that the children are where her heart is. I want that for my children as
they grow in the Lord. Lighthouse Fellowship parent.
Kathy has been involved in ministering to children for over 26
years.
Vonna Castor
"Vonna is fun and likes to play games with us." Nathan age 9
"She helps me with a lot of stuff." Brittany age 9
"Vonna's love for children goes way beyond just teaching on Sunday's
and being a part of the leadership team. She is a 1st grade teacher and has
a desire to minister children during their entire day. Children just come naturally
for Vonna....in her teaching, greeting, loving, and ministering." Lighthouse
