Nursery Ministry

Lighthouse Fellowship welcomes you and your child to our nursery. Your child is special to us. It is our desire to minister to your child's spiritual, physical, and emotional needs. Our nursery is available to receive children ages 3 and under. Our nursery is staffed by loving and caring workers. We are committed to providing the most loving, caring environment possible for your child. Please read the guidelines listed below. If you have any questions or if we can be of any help, please feel free to contact our Nursery Coordinator, Kathy Martin at 773-4149.

Looking for a place to serve?

If you would like to become a nursery volunteer and minister God's love to the children, please contact Kathy Martin. We need quality people to staff our nursery to provide quality care.

Nursery Guidelines

• Nursery ages include birth up to 3 years old.

• Our nursery opens 30 minutes before each service.

• All parents must register their child with the Nursery by filling out a registration card at our Nursery Registration Area.

• At the time you register you will receive a security card for your child for that service.

• You will need to stop at the Nursery Registration Area for a security card each time you attend service until your child is issued a permanent card.

• When you determine your child will attend the Nursery regularly you may request a permanent number.

• If your child has any special requirements please note them on the registration card. Please make the nursery attendant aware of that need, also.

• Please do not bring your child to the Nursery if he or she is sick. We will not accept a child with any symptoms of fever.

• We cannot feed your child meals or solid food brought from home. We do provide snacks during each service.

• We cannot administer medication to your child. If your child requires medication during the service it is your responsibility to administer it.

• Whenever possible, please label bottles, pacifiers, cups, etc. with your baby’s name or permanent security number. A suggestion would be to use fingernail polish (as it will not wash off with water but can be removed later).

• Please do not lose the security card issued to you at check-in. You must have this card to pick up your child.

• Children should be picked up within 10 minutes after the close of service. If you are not able to pick your child up within this time limit please make arrangements for someone else to pick up your child. They must have the security card to do so.

• Only designated nursery workers should be in the nursery. Our nursery is not very large in size; this will help reduce the congestion of too many bodies.

• If you choose not to use our nursery and you have a child that needs attention you may use our back office that is down the hall from the nursery. Please understand this is only for temporary use and is not an alternative nursery. The nursery changing table is available for use when needed.

• Nursing mothers are welcome to use the nursery for nursing times. If there are any male attendants on duty they will excuse themselves from the room during any nursing time. Please remember the male attendant needs to return as soon as nursing is complete.
